I help to develop the capabilities of people to build better organizations. I teach a variety of classes, write books, give speeches, and more in service to this goal. I am intrigued by the role of entrepreneurial activity inside large corporations and have focused a lot of my research towards that.

How Leaders Describe a Typical Day at Work
I typically teach classes at either the Law School or Business School. I have a lot of interesting conversations with colleagues and spend hours writing and attending conference calls with coauthors.

In business, you have to perpetuate the joy of discovery and learn to not be afraid to try things. Don't focus on the quantity of your network, focus on the quality. Stop paralyzing yourself by the fear of failure and understand that changing your mind and trying new things is okay.

Begin teaching as soon as possible to gain experience.
Stay focused, be persistent, follow your instincts, use the tools you learned in school, never give up.
I would highly suggest obtaining an adjunct position and start building a portfolio.
Start getting exposed to and used to conducting a large amount of research. The research you do as a student and as a teacher is very similar. Find great mentors who will tell you the truth and keep you focused on the goal no matter what.
