Overview
A residency training program that prepares physicians in the repair, replacement, and reconstruction of defects of form and function of the integument and its underlying musculoskeletal system, with emphasis on the craniofacial structures, the oropharynx, the hand, the breast, and the external genitalia. Includes instruction in aesthetic as well as reconstructive surgery. Does NOT require prior completion of a program in general surgery. This CIP code is not valid for IPEDS reporting.
