Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
I'm honestly not sure I heard much negative about my career or educational choices. However, I do hear noise and discouragement sometimes in my career.
How I responded:
I'm very positive so I always look for solutions. Just because things have "always been that way" or "we've tried that before" doesn't mean it can't be done or won't work the 2nd, 3rd or 100th time.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I didn't come out until I was in my 40s. Hiding my true self was hurtful to many, myself included.
