Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
Glass ceiling/sexism; harassment; and bigotry.
How I responded:
Believe in your special individuality; believe your are worthy of love and respect; see the finish line you wish to cross and then follow through to it and beyond. Never quit, stumble fall and keep crawling forward; and finally do it for yourself for others are not motivated as much as you are for doing for you.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Job cuts; single mom; loss of jobs due to disabilities; not receiving proper child support consistently; refused disability monies; refused full welfare benefits consistently; pay for dental and vision out of pocket due to medicaid inability to pay.
