How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
My biggest doubt and discouragement came from myself. Imposter syndrome is real. It took about 10 years before I finally believed I knew what I was doing. Looking back, I knew the whole time. I just needed to trust myself and be confident.
How I responded:
It is ok to not know what you are doing when you start a new job. There is a lot to learn. But sometimes the best way to learn is to start doing, put a plan together, and get feedback on it. Dive in. And try really hard at everything you do. From researching the company before the interview to your first big project. Try really, really hard. Effort matters.
