How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
Some may say insurance is "boring". Some may have a preconception that the only thing to do in the insurance industry is to be an agent or a "salesman".
How I responded:
Insurance touches every industry, and every family's lives. Big or small, simple or complex, there are risks all around us. That makes insurance one of the most far reaching fields you can work in, as it touches so many parts of our economy and lives. I've learned more about the world and about business by working in insurance than I did during my Undergrad. I would also not ever say that I "sell" insurance. I solve problems, and provide value. I don't sell; I serve and I teach!
