How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
You don't need to go to college. Just find a man and get married.
How I responded:
It is always good to follow your heart. Never let anyone tell you that you need to do what society or others think you should do. It is always good to be independent in your life first and then later if you choose to enter into a relationship where you can depend on someone else that is great but you never know what might happen in life where you may be forced to be independent.
