Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
"I have my secondary degree in language immersion education and I am telling you this school will never work." "Not interested." "NO." "I don't even understand how this would work." "I can't believe you are still working on this after all these years."
How I responded:
Consider every NO as a "Not yet" or a "maybe." Consider every opinion as just an opinion. If you want something badly enough, you'll just keep being drawn back to it, no matter.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I will be paying law school debt for 20 years. I work in a public school; I make very little money. I can't say I have overcome them, but I just decided that the work right now is more important that the money.
