'Soft sciences' like psychology & sociology are a waste of a degree (i.e. doesn't pay well, job security, etc).
How I responded:
I studied something I loved learning about with zero regret. What's the point of paying for college if you're not passionate about what you're being taught? If you have enough drive and work hard enough towards what you want you'll get to your goals.
