My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Always had a passion for the entertainment industry but felt it was risky.
2.
Bet on myself and moved far from home where I knew no one and made it work.
3.
Pushed through the obstacles and graduated and got a job in my field of study.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Family:
That's not a real job." "You'll never make it.
How I responded:
You are the only one who is always there for you. Do what makes you happy, yes it's scary and is going to be rough. If you have the passion you will accomplish your goals. Don't give up.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I come from a very poor family so me going to college was never an option till I made it one. I worked three jobs that I hated to save up money to get me to where I wanted to be. I applied for all the financial help I could get.
I have a large family and I am the third generation here in the States. My family has always been focused on "settling in" and being stable that they never had time or money to go. So far I am the only one stubborn enough to actually go to college.
