3.

Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
Information Security was a man's world at the time I entered, defying multiple odds. Being an African American Woman in this arena presented its own challenges early on.
How I responded:
Education, dedication, developing a work ethic and accepting each and every challenge with a desire to succeed. In doing so, remember to maintain a balance in your personal and social life to prevent becoming a one track mind where work is all that you want to do.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I had two military enrolled siblings; I was the first of my grandmother's 70+ grandkids to receive a college degree and to hold jobs in three Fortune 500 companies.
