How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Teachers:
You have good grades so you should be in sciences or education. You should go to University because you have good grades and that is what is expected.
How I responded:
The good grades I got in school showed I had dedication and work ethic. I could apply those attributes to any field, even if pursuing art and design wasn't the expected path. I followed my own interests and passions and didn't pay attention to what others told me.
