My path in life has been direct
1.
Loved escaping the real world.
2.
Played a lot of video games and watched a lot of movies.
3.
Worked at my mom's motel for the early part of my life. Wanted to do anything BUT work there.
4.
Played around with my computer at home a lot and did whatever I could to learn visual effects.
5.
Went to school for computer engineering, because they supposedly "make a lot of money."
6.
Got an internship at Blizzard Entertainment, where I've always wanted to work (it was near my school).
7.
Got a full time job there.
8.
Worked there for a few years, went to film for a couple of years, and now I'm back at Blizzard.

It was tough having a single parent because she was working all the time. But in a way it was a blessing because I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted. I had to be self motivated, but because I love the medium so much, that wasn't hard.
