My Day to Day

I oversee a mobile crisis response team, which responds to mental health crisis, behavioral emergencies, unsheltered homelessness, alcohol and substance abuse crisis, and exploitation. I ensure that our clients are connected to services they may already have or need, and make sure those services are doing what they say they do so that our clients get the care they need.

Life & Career Milestones

My path in life took a while to figure out

  • 1.

    I initially wanted to become a boxer.

  • 2.

    I had a long amateur boxing career, which helped me gain a lot of discipline that has been valuable as my career shifted.

  • 3.

    I got a job at the fire department and then shortly after decided I wanted to go to paramedic school.

  • 4.

    Since then, I’ve earned certifications in a variety of emergency response programs, including EMT, paramedic, mental health first aid, and crime scene cleanup.

  • 5.

    I currently work as the Community Alternative Response Emergency Services (CARES) Team coordinator for the St. Paul Fire Department.
