Life & Career Milestones
My path in life has been direct
1.
While it was rare to have a computer in the home in the 70s, my dad was able to bring one home from work, so I started developing an interest in computers from a young age.
2.
In middle school, I gained more experience building computers for a company.
3.
I went to college to continue pursuing that interest while also looking for a student job in the technology space—I started as a help desk technician and then worked my way up to server administrator.
4.
I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in computer forensics and a minor in cybersecurity.
5.
After graduating, I built my career with a steady stream of computer jobs.
6.
I’m currently working as the chief information officer for the City of Hopkins.
7.
In addition to my work for the City of Hopkins, I’m also an adjunct professor at Metro State University.
